Wayfindr Connect | Founding Partners
Be the expert brands come to, not the vendor they compare.
Wayfindr Connect is an invite-only room of ecommerce brand owners and the specialists who solve their hardest problems. Twenty-seven categories, one expert in each, answering in public. No pitching, because in here your expertise is the pitch.
We are seating the founding partners now, before a single brand member is invited.
No fee, no listing cost. Every application read by a person.

What a founding seat gets you

Co-Founder status
You are not joining a finished product. The founding fifteen have direct input into the rules, the rhythm and the standard of the room - from how lanes are defended to what counts as a useful answer.

Exclusivity
One expert per category. No competitor is invited into your lane while you hold it, so you are never one of five names on a comparison sheet.

Qualified brand owners
Visibility without cold pitching. Founders arrive with the problem already written down, in the lane you own.

Your expertise does the work
Every answer you publish is a piece of proof with your name on it. Over a year that compounds into something no ad account can buy: the default reputation in your category.
Twenty-seven lanes. One expert each. One of them is ours.
Every lane below has candidates in play. None are confirmed, which means every one is still winnable and none of them are waiting for you. Lanes are awarded, one applicant per category, on the strength of the application.

One expert per lane. Pick yours before it is taken.
Being the best in your lane is not the same as being the one they call
Somewhere right now a brand owner is stuck on exactly the problem you solve every week. They will not find you. They will search, land on a comparison page, ask in a group you are not in, and end up talking to whoever ranked highest or paid most. Not because that firm is better. Because it was easier to find.
External
You are renting attention
Cold email, paid placement, directory listings. Works exactly as long as you keep paying, and stops the day you stop.
Internal
You arrive as a supplier
By the time you are in the conversation you are on a shortlist being compared on price. Your expertise never gets to do the talking.
Philosophical
Brands act on the wrong advice
They take direction from whoever was easiest to find rather than whoever knows most. Bad for them, bad for the industry.
You are not a vendor. You are a Co-Founder.
You are not being added to a directory. You are being asked to help build something, and Wayfindr Connect will only ever be as good as the people in it. That is why we have been deliberate about who gets a seat at the founding table.
We are Wayfindr, the 4PL behind 100+ global brands, and the partner group is the Wayfindr+ ecosystem, the specialists we already bring to our own clients. You would make the shortlist because you are genuinely excellent at one layer, and because you believe, as we do, that sharing openly makes the whole ecosystem better. Including the parts that do not benefit you.
Authority
We bring the audience
Ecommerce founders running $1M to $10M, and operations leads at $10M to $100M, invited from our own customer base and network. Not a general business audience. Not other agencies.
Authority
We enforce the rule
One warning for pitching, then removal. That is what stops the room turning into a trade show floor, and it is what your seat is actually worth.
Empathy
We hold your lane
While you are active we invite no competitor into your category, and we consult existing partners before expanding the group at all.
How a lane is awarded.

Apply for your lane
Which category, and one thing brands consistently get wrong in it. That answer is the whole application.

We review, one seat per lane
We read every application and pick one per category. If your lane is contested we tell you plainly rather than leave you waiting.

Co-Founder onboarding
The Charter, the rulebook and your seat, before brand members arrive, with input on how the room is built.

No fee, no listing cost
Nobody buys a lane. If you could, the room would be worthless.

Two or three posts a week
The whole commitment during launch. Real contributions, not reposts.

Your lane is yours
Once awarded, no competitor is invited into your category while you are active.
There is one seat in your category, and you are not the only applicant
It will belong to somebody. The only open question is whether it is you or the firm you keep losing pitches to, who is already on the same shortlist.
You Wait
- Somebody already on the shortlist is awarded your category and holds it while they stay active
- You keep buying attention that stops the moment you stop paying
- You watch the conversations you should have been answering, from outside
You Are Awarded It
- You are the recognised expert in your lane, in a room built for it
- Brand owners come to you with the problem already stated
- Co-Founder standing in something you helped design, not a listing you rented
Founding Partner Application
Apply for your lane.
By application only. One seat per category, awarded on the strength of the answer rather than the speed of the reply.

The Co-Founder terms
Every Co-Founding Partner reads and signs off on this before receiving access.
Educate first. Always.
Not even subtly otherwise. Your expertise is your currency in this room, and the moment you start spending it on pitches it devalues.
What you agree to do
- Answer honestly, including when the honest answer is "not my wheelhouse, but the person in [lane] would know"
- Share the real material. Frameworks, cautionary tales, and the things you learned expensively
- Engage with other lanes. Build on their posts, add nuance, disagree respectfully
- Welcome new members. They have just joined a community run by a logistics company
- Flag bad advice tactfully. A gentle redirect, not a four-hundred-word correction
- Show up. Two to three real contributions a week. A thumbs-up emoji is not one
- Post your introduction before anything else, using the template
What you agree not to do
- No promotional content. No pricing, packages or promo codes, in any channel, at any time
- No sales DMs. Communities are small and people talk
- No Trojan-horse answers. “Great question, and actually our platform...” is a pitch
- No cross-posting. Pick the right channel and post once
- Nothing leaves the room. No screenshots for LinkedIn
- No public arguments with another partner. Bring it to us
- No undermining another partner's expertise. Disagree and add to it
Two Tests, Applied Before you Post
The loophole test
If you are asking whether something technically breaks the rules, it breaks the rules.
The quality test
Take your company name off the post. Is it still worth reading? If you are not sure, that is a no.
What Wayfindr Agrees To, In Return
Exclusivity
No competing partner invited into your category while you are active. One seat per area. A commitment, not a footnote.
No surprise invites
We consult existing partners before expanding the group. You will never learn a competitor joined by seeing their introduction post.
Recognition
Co-Founding Partner status in all community communications, early access to members and events, and direct input into how the community grows.
We police the room
We enforce the rules above on every partner, including the ones we like.

The first thirty days
How many communities have you joined, posted in once and never opened again? We are going to try very hard not to be that. Three operating rules, written down so you can hold us to them.

Wayfindr always goes first
We never ask the room to do something we have not done. We post the horror story before asking for yours.

Every comment gets a reply, for thirty days
Every one, from our team. Not a reaction emoji.

Five pieces ready before day one
The room opens with content already in it, so the first person through the door does not find an empty space.
The first thing posted in #ecom-horror-stories, by us.
Early days of Wayfindr. A client's shipment sitting in customs in Los Angeles. The problem? One field on one document was in the wrong font. Not the wrong information. Not missing information. The wrong font.
Four days, two customs brokers and one very tense phone call to fix something a single click in Word would have prevented.
In ecommerce operations the small things get you long before the big ones do. Font, failed payment gateway, broken tracking link, returns portal that sends customers in circles. The devil is always in the detail, and somebody in this room has already met your particular devil.
Your first post as a partner
FIVE LINES. KEEP IT HUMAN.
Your first post should sound like a person, not a brochure.
Nobody wants your LinkedIn bio or your company's origin story.
